Schedule Selection Guide for buyers
Sch 10S / 5S: Thin wall, mainly used for Instrumentation, low-pressure gas lines at Max pressure under 10 bar at ambient.
Sch 40S: General purpose- Suitable for HVAC, chemical plants below 600°C. (Find ex-stock at Neelcon)
Sch 80S: Higher pressure- Furnace for above 25 bar pressure or temperature is 600–900°C.
Sch 160S / XXS: Extreme pressure (thick-walled SS 310 Pipe). Rarely ex-stock - lead time 4–8 weeks on order
Above 900°C: Choose minimum Sch 80S A312 TP310 Stainless Steel Pipes. For elevated temperature refer ASME B31.3 Table A-1.
